The event raised $1760 which was donated to Port Macquarie Headspace to continue their work in the community combating depression and anxiety amongst youth.
Headed by Matty Davis, the Willybop Mates 4 Mates golf day was started after the death of Mr Davis' nephew in 2008.
"He had anxiety and all of that. He took his own life," he said.
"This golf day started as a way of gathering our family together again and it has grown from there.
"The day created a chance for us all to get together and for others in a similar situation to relate and to talk to each other."
Headspace manager Nicole Kosseris said the chance to create awareness about anxiety through these kinds of events is important.
"It also sends the message that it is ok to talk about those kinds of issues," she said.
"This is the second year we have been involved and we love being apart of it.
"The money donated is a big help and will help continue the work that we do in the community and to create a safe place for people to talk about such problems."
Mr Davis added that they would continue to hold the golf day each year.
"I'd like to send a big thanks to the South West Rocks golf club, Sean at the pro shop there, inspirational speaker Steve Widders, everyone who donated and of course Headspace," he said.
A drum circle at the local Birpai land council has been running for around six months with community engagement officer of Headspace Tracie Hazell said the money will likely go into purchasing new drums for the group.
