The dawn service and main service each attracted a record crowd as people turned out en masse to honour Australia’s service men and women. The crowd was passionate too.
Applause and cheers greeted the veterans as they made their way towards the Town Green war memorial.
This year’s Anzac Day marked the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, and heartfelt tributes to commemorate not just those Anzacs but all service men and women were heard far and wide.
The strong support from youngsters showed the Anzac Day tradition will always continue.
