More than 2000 people attended the dawn service in Wauchope – the largest most people who attended could remember – and thousands more turned out to pay tribute at the mid-morning march and service.
“It’s the biggest I can remember in the 11 years I have been coming,” ex-serviceman Greg Cavanagh of Wauchope said.
“The dawn service was fantastic. There were thousands there and the thing that really struck me was the number of young people.”
