Party faithful gathered on Tuesday as Deputy Premier and NSW Nationals leader Troy Grant launched Mrs Williams' re-election campaign at her CBD campaign office.
"All that hard work I am sure will be recognised by the community in 20-odd days at the ballot box," he said. "That vote for Leslie Williams will be an absolute validation for what she has achieved."
Mrs Williams claimed the seat of Port Macquarie for The Nationals at the 2011 state election.
Speaking at Mrs Williams' campaign launch, Mr Grant predicted the March 28 election result would be the sweetest of victories.
"Port Macquarie is set up for nothing but prosperity into the future under your leadership," he told Mrs Williams.
The NSW Nationals leader said he was extremely confident in the partnership with Mike Baird, who he described as one of the most genuine men you could ask for to be premier of this state.
Only three candidates have come forward to contest the seat of Port Macquarie but candidate nominations are still open.
"While the field doesn't look large at the moment, you can never take anything for granted," Mrs Williams said. "We need to continue to work hard to sell our message. It is absolutely imperative that we stay part of this government."
Mrs Williams reflected on her achievements and acknowledged there was more to do.
"We need to get back into government with a great team under the leadership of Troy [Grant] and Mike Baird so we can continue to deliver to the Port Macquarie electorate," she said.
Mrs Williams said it had been an absolute privilege to work with Andrew Stoner, and in the past few months, Troy Grant.
