It was the first week of the finals in the lower grades with Wauchope not making the 3rd or 4th grade finals for the first time in over 8 years.
Due to 2nd grade finishing in 3rd spot, they automatically go through to the second week of the finals with 4th placed Macquarie being knocked out.
Wauchope boys will take on the Magpies this week and will be hoping for some clear weather to get on the field as they set out in pursuit of a 9th straight premiership in 2nd grade.
The 1st grade team has finished in first spot to claim the minor premiership due to their thumping of Comboyne in the first week of the 2 day game.
The boys played some very aggressive cricket and due to this, will walk straight into the grand final for the second straight year.
They will take on the winner of Pirates and Macquarie this weekend and will be looking for some fine weather to hit the training paddock abd get some valuable time in the nets leading into the grand final on the weekend of March 7.
