The much anticipated annual event on September 14 draws people from far and wide to the top of the mountain.
2014 is the International Year of Family Farming; The Comboyne Village Fair is embracing that mandate from the United Nations General Assembly and incorporating it into the Village Fair as well as celebrating spring in the local community.
Follow the signs for free parking at the showground, then use the continuous free shuttle bus to the centre of the village and back, making it easy to enjoy all the days' attractions.
Highlights of this year's village fair include; Troppo Bob's Magic Shows, the Amazing Balloon Man, crazy hair and face painting, 4B3 art competition, The hall 'Blossoms Caf and flower displays , plant up a wheelbarrow and 'Pop Up' garden competition, 'Out of the Shower' Comboyne Choir, yoga sessions, Cedar Creek Band, buskers, a chai tent, free mini workshops on planting, street markets and lots more.
This year the Village Fair will also have a (Village) Town Crier; keep an eye and an ear out for him as he will be announcing all the wonderful activities and points of interest throughout the day.
The Comboyne Showground will host the 6th Car Club Caper Events sponsored by Shannons. Members from the 17 invited local Clubs will provide visitors, action photo opportunities on their "Drive Thru Town" procession starting around 10am, as well as during the amazingly skilful and entertaining 'Caper' events.
Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to talk to the owners and get up close to some of the best antique, veteran, classic and hot-rod vehicles in the country.
Co-Starring by popular demand at the showground, will be some spectacular Mower Racing events, by the Midcoast Mower Mulisha Racing Club.
At the Comboyne showground there will be a feast of country food at the tea room and barbeque and food court with live music, plus great coffee, pancakes and more.
