THE Wauchope Show Society has seven new sets of lighter, safer horse jumps in time for this year's show, thanks to the town's Lions Club.

The new jumps feature breakaway cups that hold the wooden bars, reducing the risk of injury to horses and riders.
The new keylock cup system is becoming standard for shows and pony clubs because of its greater safety levels and ease of handling, appreciative Show Society officials said.
The Lions Club of Wauchope donated 14 new horse jump "wings", making up seven jumps, which, being more modern and lightweight, will also make life easier for Show Society volunteer stewards and helpers.
