On a very wet field and in steady rain Daniel Jones opened the scoring for the Shamrocks in the seventh minute with a try converted by Amos Donovan.
The Settlers retaliated in the 18th minute when Vincent Cochrane crossed the Beechwood line, only to have Michael Pamplin respond in kind in the 24th minute.
Just before half time Corey Thorne scored from an intercept, taking the mid way score to Settlers 8, Beechwood 10.
Steve Schubert opened the second half scoring after two minutes. Amos Donovan converted his try as he did Jamie Trotters try in the 48th minute.
The Settlers once again responded with a runaway try to Jamal Toby in the 54th minute, only to have James Bright, Amos Donovan and James Trotter score again for Beechwood at 61, 70 and 75 minutes respectively.
Amos Donovan converted the Trotter try and at full time the score line read 36-12.
The Shamrocks Players player votes went to Steve Schubert, while the ref's points were awarded to Jamie Trotter, Logan Marshall and Steve Schubert.
This is a good result for Beechwood who have been rebuilding over the last couple of years.
