Saran Rajah and Howard Ellis had a close contest early, trading the first two games before Rajah reeled off the last two games
easily.
Steve Binstadt then pulled one back for the Pharmacy boys, winning comfortably in three.
Rod Packer was seemingly down and out in the first game but Noel Byrne snatched defeat from the jaws of victory losing the first 10-9 and never really recovered as Packer came away with a 3-0 win.
This set up the final match between Peter Castles and Rob Cutler with Castles playing out of his skin to take the first two games and secure victory for the landscapers.
Cutler retained some pride by taking the next three and the match 32 points to 31.
The other major semi also saw a minor upset with Seaside Conveyancing being beaten by Driving Assessment and Rehabilitation Service.
Nick Kliousis had an tight three-set win over Glenn Sawtell and Pat Brakspear won an important game in going down 3-1 to Ian Dennis.
Phil Davidson then got the Conveyances back into the rubber soundly defeating Nick Neville in three. Steve Russell was too consistent for Sean Wighton winning 3-0 and sealing the victory.
In the Consolation Plate Oxley Insurance brokers stormed past Claude Outdoor.
Warren Turner was too strong for Ross Gwatkin, winning 3-0.
