Key objectives for the upgrade include more shade, seating and diversity of play equipment.
New features will include:
- Relocation of the playground so that it is closer to the large picnic shelter
- Addition of basketball and netball rings to allow for multipurpose use of the Tennis Court
- Giant combination play unit with monkey bars, slide, stepper bridge, track ride and climbing course
- Upgraded swings
- Talking tubes
- Sculptural timber grasshoppers
- Shade tree planting
- Seating, signage and footpath connections
