It will be Port Macquarie’s youth, pop-culture and gaming event of the year.
International Games Day will be hosted by Port Macquarie-Hastings Library Service on Sunda, November 19 between 10am and 3pm.
The event is sponsored by Board & Dicey, The Hastings Anime Group, Kawaii Shop at Home, Freemasons Mid-North Coast NSW, Community Drug Action Team, Ability Links and the Australian Drug Foundation.
The day will include family fun, anime, trading card games, eurogames, retro video games, cosplay, quizzes, zentangle, poetry, kids events and a sausage sizzle.
International Games Day is now in its 10th year.
This free event grew out of an idea to attempt to set a world’s record for the number of people playing the same game at the same time.
It is a valuable way for libraries to engage in play with their communities.
