Pastor Phil Brown said that the amalgamation with a wider christian movement was the next step for the church established 15 years ago.
The biggest change is the churches ability to utilise technology and communicate with people across 13 different church campuses in NSW.
“We wanted to be a part of something bigger,” Generocity campus pastor Phil Brown said.
“The focus is on regional and country NSW, with the objective to connect communities to Christ and making the church relevant to people,” he said.
Generocity joins a number of campuses across the state and Mr Brown said that this will encourage and foster community through the inclusion of technology in the church.
“Multi campus churches have the gift of utilising resources so that we can be better together,” he said.
“So far we have been enjoying using the technology in a variety of ways, to feel connected to people all over the state.”
The new church structure means that senior pastors Libby and Ben Staines operate out of Wagga Wagga with campus pastors Phil and Sue Brown based in Port Macquarie.
“The launch was a great success and so far the model has been working well, with the church able to make it out to smaller towns where people need it most.
“Specifically in Port Macquarie, we are still part of the Australian Christian Churches movement, and we will still be doing all our community outreach, establishing and maintaining links with the community,” he said.
The Generocity Church office and coffee shop are open 9-4pm weekdays, with a weekly church service at 10am on Sunday.
