Stuart Robb from the RFS said they worked with landholders to remove any threats.
He said some landholders had done hazard reduction burns on Friday evening and Saturday and the fires got out of control and they needed help.
“That has been remedied by us and if it’s advantageous to let the fire keep burning, we are monitoring it. There’s no threat to property,” he added.
The bush fire danger season is starting early this year – on Friday September 1 – because of the very dry weather.
Anyone wishing to light a fire during that time must obtain a permit from their local Fire Control Centre.
