A man has been charged with several drug-related offences after a vehicle stop in Kempsey.

Just after 1am on Friday, August 11, officers attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command were patrolling in Kempsey when they stopped a Holden Commodore on Smith Street.
The driver of the car, a 37-year-old man, was given roadside drug test with allegedly gave a positive reading.
The man’s car was then searched with police allegedly locating cash, small resealable bags containing an illicit substance, several mobile phones, USB devices and an ‘ice’ pipe.
The man was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station where he was charged with deal with the proceeds of crime, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance; possess prohibited drug x 2; rescribed prohibited drug and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
He will appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on August 11.
The car has been seized for the purposes of forensic examination.
