More than 1000 students participated in events from running to long jump and javelin.
The hotly contested annual event is a house competition with the ultimate places in each event going towards the Fr. Leo Donnelly House Shield.
The Shield is the most sought after trophy at the College and includes sporting, academic and cultural pursuits.
The College athletics carnival is also a selection trial for the SJRC athletics squad to compete at the Diocesan Athletics Championships at Coffs Harbour on August 17.
The top two students in each age group qualify for the squad.
