Roads, footpaths and car parking emerged on the top of a reader priority list for mayoral candidates.
That’s according to a Fairfax Media poll.
The poll attracted more than 1680 votes.
Readers ranked road, car parking and footpath planning and delivery at number one of 10 priorities with just over 300 votes.
A tidal pool rated second on the priority list with 237 votes, followed by no special rate rises (185 votes) and more transparency from the council (166 votes).
Financial responsibility attracted 160 votes at number five on the priority list put to readers, while better sporting facilities came in the 10th position.
The Port News will put the top five reader-voted priorities to the mayoral candidates for their responses.
