OVER 150 longboard competitors from all over NSW will venture to Port Macquarie as part of the upcoming Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles presented by HIF.

The prestigious four-day event will kick off on Thursday, 22nd June to Sunday, 25th June and crown all NSW Longboard and Logger Champions across Junior, Open and Age divisions.

The results of the Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles presented by HIF will decide the NSW Team for the upcoming Australian Surf Festival in Tweed Heads in August.

“Our region is renowned for its beaches and pristine coastline, and we look forward to again hosting the Longboard Titles this year,” said Port Macquarie-Hastings Deputy Mayor, Lisa Intemann.

“It’s not only our beaches that make our region so unique, and we encourage participants, their families and support crews to extend their stay and experience our magnificent hinterland, extensive culinary delights and cultural experiences.”

As part of the event, the Australian Skin Cancer Clinics will be onsite activating over the course of the competition.

Australian Skin Cancer Clinics CEO Dr Tony Dicker is looking forward to the ASCC educating participants about the importance of being safe in the sun.

“Australian Skin Cancer Clinics (ASCC) is proud to support the NSW Longboard Titles in Bonny Hills as raising community awareness about the need to have regular skin checks is essential.”

“Australian Skin Cancer Clinics has a long-standing partnership in place with Surfing NSW. We are looking forward to meeting participants at the Longboard Titles event and providing advice and education about being safe in the sun and protecting your skin.

“We will have a team of friendly Australian Skin Cancer Clinics personnel on hand at this event to provide advice.”

Competitors are coming from as far south as Tomakin and as far north as Tweed Heads to enter the event.

The location for the event will be in Port Macquarie with the prime location to be Bonny Hills - however, the exact location will be determined on the day.

Please call the event hotline (0458 247 212) after 6:45am every morning of the event.

The Australian Skin Cancer Clinics NSW Longboard Titles are proudly supported by Australian Skin Cancer Clinics, HIF, Coastalwatch, Big 4 Bonny Hills, Port Macqaurie/Hastings Council, Toyota, NBN and Surfing NSW.
