Birdon Pty Ltd’s managing director Terri Benson will resign this month after a three-year stint with the company to take up the position of managing director with South East Water in Melbourne.
Ms Benson will finish with Birdon on May 24, 2017 paving the way for a new start, and new future, for Mr Besseling who announced his resignation as mayor on Monday, May 8.
“Terri has been instrumental in the growth of Birdon in Australia during her almost three years with us,” Birdon CEO Jamie Bruce said.
“Her contribution to the business has been outstanding and has helped to position Birdon as a major force in the diverse markets that we participate in.
“We wish Terri the very best of luck in her new role and would like to thank her for her valuable contribution.”
Mr Besseling’s new role will involve leading Birdon’s Australian operations.
He will take up the position of General Manager Australia, bringing extensive government and industry experience to this role.
“Birdon is a leading supplier to government agencies, including the Department of Defence,” Mr Bruce said.
“Peter’s leadership skills and commitment to our local area are invaluable and will be a major benefit for Birdon’s ongoing success and further growth.”
