The Red Shield Appeal Concert is on Sunday May 21.
Band secretary Glen Stanley said the concert will feature two bands.
“The concert will feature the Port Macquarie Salvation Army Brass Band and the Port Macquarie Hastings Concert Band,” he said.
“Special guests will also include Port Macquarie Salvation Army Songsters and the Port Macquarie Salvation Army Timbrels.”
The municipal band has been entertaining the community for over 37 years and currently has two performing units, the Hastings Concert Band and the Kool Tunes group.
Mr Stanley said the concert band caters to more experienced players and rehearses Tuesday nights at the Mac Adams Music Centre from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
“Kool Tunes is for less experienced players to have fun playing while learning with others and they rehearse on Monday nights from 7pm until 9pm and also in the Mac Adams Music Centre,” he said.
The organisation also provides an adult instrument learning program for those wanting to learn to play a musical instrument. They meet each Tuesday night from 5pm until 6pm. For information about this program email secretary@pmhmb.com.au or president@pmhmb.com.au
Mr Stanley said the Red Shield Appeal concert is in the Salvation Army Citadel at 110 Lord Street, Port Macquarie at 2pm. Entry will be a donation at the door and all proceeds go to the Red Shield Appeal.
