The Riding for the Disabled (RDA) centre last year moved from their long-time Batar Creek Road property to the Kendall Showground.
Thanks to the continued support of the Camden Haven community, RDA volunteers were able to move the shed, equipment and horses, as well as install new fencing. They are currently building a viewing platform and rooms outside the RDA office overlooking the riding arena.
On Saturday February 18 from 10am until 3pm the centre will host an Open Day to show off the new facility and thank sponsors and donors.
“We want to thank the big donors and businesses who support us, as well as the people who make one-off small donations when they can,” said Elizabeth Wallace, president.
The community is invited to come along and show their support for the RDA, meet the horses and volunteers and enjoy a morning tea and barbecue lunch for a gold coin donation.
Regular riding will resume at the end of February.
