MJR Presents are in the process of organising a concert at the reserve, which will be headlined by act ‘RÜFÜS’.
“Council are committed to providing entertainment opportunities for all ages and this will be a ticketed over 18s event,” the letter said.
“We envisage this event will have an economic benefit to the Port Macquarie area.
“As an owner, operator or resident in the immediate area we seek your support and input into the implementation of this event.”
The event is slated for Sunday, February 19, from 3pm (doors) until 8pm.
It was originally going to take place in the lane way, at the back entrance to Port Central.
Scott Mesiti, Director of MJR Presents, said the response to this event shows that RÜFÜS are one of the biggest acts in Australia right now.
“A huge thanks to everyone who’s supported the event to warrant the venue upgrade,” he said.
“The new site will be perfect for this style of music and we can’t wait until February 19. Tickets are still limited so I would advise to get in sooner rather than later.”
