Organised by the Mid North Coast chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOGs) the toy run is open to all makes and models of motorcycles and riders from the local area and beyond are invited to participate.
The ride is an opportunity for motorcyclists to support the Salvation Army leading up to Christmas, a time when people in need rely on their charity most.
Each year around 300 riders take part. Hastings Public School in Port Macquarie holds an out of uniform day to raise money for the cause and the HOGs visit the school to show their appreciation.
Riders are to assemble at the Laurieton United Services Club at 10am ready for an 11am departure. The route takes in local beaches, travelling via the coast roads to finish at Westport Reserve, Port Macquarie, on the Hastings River foreshore.
The Salvation Army will follow the riders with a truck to take in any donations made on the day.
“We would like to see plenty of toys donated this year and, in particular, gift cards for the older children in need and, of course, any cash donations are always welcome,’ said HOGs spokesperson Chris Jackson.
