This year about 1000 people are expected to attend the event on October 2 at Cassegrains Winery.
“It’s guaranteed to be a beautiful day and relaxed atmosphere for a family day out, to celebrate the long weekend and the first day of daylight savings,” Mr Leigh said.
There will be variety of music genres on offer at the festival, including the sounds of reggae, blues, soul and folk to appeal to a broad demographic.
“We’ve got Australian artists, whose profiles are growing internationally through these genres,” Mr Leigh said.
Blue King Brown is the festival’s headline act, known for being an urban roots and reggae powerhouse band and who has also been nominated for an ARIA.
Jessica Cerro is another home grown talent who performs under the stage name of Montaigne. Ms Cerro was a Triple J Unearthed High finalist of 2012.
In addition the event will also feature performances from acts including The Lyrical, Claude Hay, Mar Haze, James Bennett.
Mr Leigh said people are encouraged to bring picnic rugs and chairs to the venue.
“You can also bring your own food but as the venue is licensed we ask people not to bring in alcohol,” he said.
A variety of food, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available for people to purchase on the day.
Two stages will situated at the 2016 festival to accommodate the national, regional and local musicians and to ensure that music is played throughout the day.
“The Wildwood Music Festival is a great way for local acts to expand their profile and to include the experience on their curriculum vitae,” he said.
A 25-seater bus known as the ‘Wildwood Express’ will be available to pick up patrons every half hour from 10am onwards at the Glasshouse to transport them to the venue.
Tickets are $65 and can be purchased at www.livetix.com.au or at the gate on the day.
Children who are under 14-years-old can enter the festival for free.
