Congratulations to all.
Last year’s Woman in Business and Excellence in Small Business awards winner Tanya Simmons, from Bennetts Steel, is a strong advocate for the awards and the benefits they provide.
“Our success last year really gave the team something to celebrate, and personally it was wonderful to have that sort of recognition from your peers,” she said.
Tanya said the award wins have also cemented the reputation of her business, adding a new layer of trust and credibility.
“The finalists this year are a great reflection of the diversity of business in the Greater Port Macquarie region.”
“The change to the voting and judging system for 2016 also mean the awards are a truer reflection of business achievers, and are not so much based on popularity.”
The winners in all categories will be announced at a gala awards night at Panthers on Friday August 19.
Go to the 2016 Business Awards section of the Port News website to find stories and images from some of the finalists.
Next Friday’s Port News (Aug 19) will include a special Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards finalists feature.
