OVER the last month and a bit of rugby league, Port City Breakers coach Digby Murray has been impressed with his team’s defence.

They’ll face another tough test on Sunday when they hit the road to tackle the Macleay Valley Mustangs.
The ‘Stangs trailed Port Sharks 36-0 last week before four tries in 15 minutes saw them close to 36-20.
Murray knows it’s that sort of attack that could pose problems for the Breakers defensively.
“They’re a dangerous footy side who don’t have a lot of structure and play that ad-lib style of football,” he said.
“They can beat anyone on their day. Our defence is still improving, but we want to make them work for it and not score any easy tries.”
The Breakers could receive a boost later in the week with Mitch Fowler and Dan Dumas close to returning from injuries.
“They’ll be named in an extended squad and probably come off the bench because they haven’t had a lot of footy in recent weeks.”
The game kicks off at 3.15pm at Verge Street.
