Timbertown mayor David Waite said there will be several features including steam boats on the lake, a steam traction engine and Australian whip crackers performing daily.
“Timbertown is amazing everyday but when we host our annual steam fair it is just fantastic. I mean one end of the street we have our damper camp, look around with steam engines operating all over the park, miniature steam train rides, rides behind a traction engine, whip cracking and so much more.
“Possibly my highlight would be the steam whistle blow off for 30 seconds at 12pm. Hearing all those tones and up to 20 at once is great. If your going to make some noise may as well make lots,” he said.
On Monday, July 4 there will be an Australia Pie Eating Championships.
“If you think you can eat your way through a stack of great Timbertown pies in five minutes perhaps you may want to enter. Entry fees go to charity and the winner will walk away with $500 cash.”
Timbertown blacksmith Doug Cairns estimated the winner should eat 10-15 pies.
Information will be available at the fair on a new club for the park being the ‘Timbertown Steam and Heritage Machinery Club’.
