Twenty-five swimmers from 10 clubs have entered 122 events over the weekend.
Of these swimmers, eight of them have swum at the Australian Age Swimming Championships in Adelaide earlier this year.
Other swimmers at Australian Age were Layne Grant, Dane Jeffery, Brock Van Kampen and Jesse Wilkes from Forster, Mark Thurgood, Kempsey and Jessica Grant, Port Macquarie.
Port Macquarie will send a team of six to the championships with Kye Gill and Katrina McClure appearing in their first championship event.
They’ll be joined by Sam Harris, and Adam, Rebecca and Jessica Grant.
The short course championships can be a stepping stone to further representation with successful performances leading to possible state selection.
