Venues across the Hastings are vying for your attention be they restaurant, caf , club or hall.
On Friday at Wauchope Community Arts Hall on Oxley Lane, crowd favourite David Bridie makes a welcome return.
The innovative singer songwriter has pushed boundaries on the Australian music scene for many years with bands Not Drowning, Waving, and My Friend the Chocolate Cake, and producing international soundtracks and Melanesian music.
Bridie's performance is at 8pm with tickets at the door from 7.30pm costing $25 or $20 for members.
If you are up for some cheeky fun head to Rydges Port Macquarie on Saturday for the Drag HERO competition.
HERO (Hastings equal respect and opportunity) present a lip sync drag contest with eight lovely "ladies" vying for the winning tiara.
There will be a silent auction, canap s, a photo booth, and show of course, plus VIP specials including a glass of bubbly, front row seats, topless waiter service and a goody bag.
The event supports Bago Magic Performance Group and tickets are $35 for general admission or $50 for the VIP experience.
X Factor 2014 runner-up Dean Ray will set some hearts aflutter at North Haven Bowling Club on Saturday night.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are $30 at the venue.
For more traditional dining with your honey, Zebu Grill has a three course menu for $85 per person from 6pm on Sunday.
To tempt your tastebuds your choices are: lemongrass butter poached Balmain bugs; spiced braised pork pithiver; salmon Carpaccio, chilli lime creme fraiche; Lamb rump; corn fed chicken breast; aromatic rare roasted tuna; decadent callaubaut chocolate plate to share; Bailey's parfait; a selection of local and imported cheese.
Little Fish Cafe has a three course French menu on Sunday for $55 per person.
Laurieton United Services Club has a three course meal with romantic music provided by pianist Adam Bishop from 7.30pm for $99 per couple.
Of course, chocolates, red roses, a heartfelt card, bubbly and a picnic are always an option.
