Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command commenced an investigation after a number of shots were fired into a home on Francis Smith Place, South Kempsey, on February 2.
As a result of their inquiries, a 23-year-old man was arrested after being stopped by police in a vehicle on Gowings Road, South Kempsey, about 9.40pm Saturday.
Shortly after, a 27-year-old man was arrested after police stopped another vehicle nearby.
Both men were taken to Kempsey Police Station and each charged with discharge firearm intend to cause grievous bodily harm, possess loaded firearm, fire firearm in a public place, carry firearm in manner likely to injure, and malicious damage.
The pair has been refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Bail Court Sunday.
Inquiries are continuing.
