The federal government will provide $870,000 towards the $2.17 million capital works project.
The school has more than 300 students from kindergarten to year 12 from throughout the Hastings and Camden Haven.
The development will allow the school to cater for up to 450 students.
The project includes four new classrooms and one staff room, refurbishment of the performing arts building, the refurbishment of two staff areas and the creation of two additional classrooms.
Lyne MP Dr David Gillespie said the project would not only improve the learning and teaching activities of students and teachers but also provide a boost to the economy with jobs during the construction phase.
The school community is contributing $1.3 million towards the project.
Dr Gillespie said the new facilities would ensure the school's students, who came from all parts of the Hastings and Camden Haven, would continue to receive a great education.
"The government believes in an education system that puts students first," Dr Gillespie said.
"We are committed to helping equip all Australian students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
"Everyone who worked so hard to bring these new facilities to life has shown exactly what can be achieved by a school with strong leadership and a clear vision for the future."
The federal government funding is being provided through the Capital Grants Program.
