A passion for baking has led to the launch of her first business - Tayla's Temptations - back in May.
Working in conjunction with A Pocket Full Of Parties, Tayla's Temptations provides clients with some of the yummiest baked goods going around.
She explained that the demand for cupcakes, cakes, macaroons and other treats was too tempting to ignore.
"People were always asking for cupcakes or cakes while I was working at A Pocket Full of Parties," she said.
"My boss knew that I was passionate about baking and that is where the business came about."
Her love of the kitchen came about during school when she attended her first food tech class at Mackillop Senior College.
Since then, the now year-10 student has come a long way with business booming in recent months.
"Business has been really good. I'm as busy as I want to be, which is great," she said.
"I have had a good amount of orders. I don't get much free time, which I don't mind at all."
While always popular and something that Tayla will continue to grow, she ultimately would like to study business at university.
"I hope to go to uni and study my bachelor of business while also maintaining this and I'll see where it takes me," she said.
Until then she will study hospitality in year 11 and 12 while still catering to the Mid North Coast with her range of delicious cupcakes, cakes and other treats.
"I received my largest single order last weekend with a two tiered cake and 50 cupcakes of different flavours," she said.
"I spend most of the weekend in the kitchen, not just baking but all of the cleaning up as well."
What is the most important ingredient in any cupcake?
"Love of course," she said. "But you really need quality ingredients, all from scratch, none of the packet mix."
She has spent many an hour in the kitchen perfecting her recipes and learning from the experts through video tutorials and cook books.
"I watch lots of videos to learn different techniques," she said.
Her parents Kim and Paul, as well as younger brother Jarrod are all proud of Tayla's efforts.
"We are very proud of Tayla and what she is doing. She has been so mature about it all," Mrs Fehon said.
"She started at 15 years old and did it all herself-designing her Facebook page, website, signage and business cards ."
There's one day of the week that the family particularly favour.
"Sunday afternoon is my favourite because there are usually some leftovers that we can enjoy at home," she said.
"It would be easy for kids her age to want their own free time, but she works really hard.
"She delivers excellent customer service and on the business side of things she is doing a great job."
