They gathered in Port Macquarie with the men and women who they will support in a fortnight's time in a charity cricket day - members of the NSW Marine Rescue Port Macquarie.
The charity day was launched at the Marine Rescue boat shed in Buller Street. Rules were finalised and the draw was announced.
Eight teams will fight it out on October 11 in the knockout competition.
Seven players are on each team, with 12 over innings promising some exciting cricket.
Representatives from each of the sides were at the launch.
Organiser Darren McCudden was pleased to be involved, and he has plenty of experience putting together charity cricket days.
McCudden has been responsible for the Beechwood Sevens charity day for the past 19 years.
"Both the cricket club and the fishing club are proud to get behind this event, for such a vital cause," he said.
Plenty of sixes and some great catches will feature on the day, but there will be action off the field, too.
A nearest the pin competition and longest throw challenge, and a 100 metre dash.
Raffles will be drawn throughout the afternoon.
Meanwhile, Beechwood will feature in second and third grades for the Hastings River District Cricket Association competition this season.
The club will also have under 10s and under 13s teams. The under 10s are in the 19th year.
Beechwood is looking for more players to join its ranks. To put your name down, phone McCudden on 0412 135 130.
