Port Panthers will be bursting at the seams as the who’s who of business in the Hastings converge and battle for the ultimate prize of overall winner as judged by peers and friends.
Chamber of Commerce executive officer Lisa McPherson said unlike previous years there was not a specific theme, but encouraged people to dress in black, white, metallic or include a “shot of colour”.
“The gala dinner is the pinnacle premier business event of the year and is a major highlight for everyone,” she said. More than 200 businesses have participated leading up to the gala dinner, but only one can be judged as an overall winner.
“Businesses are recognised for their efforts and business people can strive to improve their business so we believe it is a good, well-rounded event.
“It will be a huge celebration where every member of the business community can interact with each other while also boosting team morale, reviewing their year and discovering how they can continue to improve.”
Throughout the night a total of 33 winners will be announced across 11 judges categories while there will be one people’s choice award and another 21 business choice awards.
“There are so many amazing businesses throughout the Hastings and Friday night will be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to showcase their abilities,” Ms McPherson said. “It’s also a fantastic chance to showcase the Hastings region.”
