FC desperately needed a win over the Redbacks, but the men in blue couldn't bring home the points against the table topping Redbacks.
The Haven ran away with the match, 3-1.
Captain Nick Davies scored from the penalty spot in the first half.
Sam Wilson hit the bar from a dipping free kick in the second.
Davies' new nickname in FC circles is the Bodyguard, after the way he carried defender Shaun Buckley from the field on Saturday, a la the 1992 film starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston.
The loss leaves the Port team six points away from fifth place, with three rounds left to play.
Along with three points lost, Buckley was the other casualty from the match. He dislocated a knee and it looks like he could be out for the rest of the season.
Coach Tony Wilson didn't have a replacement in mind on Monday. He said he would decide at training this week after speaking with assistant Mick Brown.
Brown, who took charge of the team on Saturday, had high praise for his team's first half showing.
"I thought we had a good start," he said.
Brown said it wasn't as impressive in the second. He said a lack of players at training this week was partly to blame.
Only about six players turned up to Tuesday night's session.
