As part of the appeal, Bangalay Childcare Centre families and staff were involved in collecting clothes and blankets which will be distributed to those less fortunate.
St Agnes Conference president Noeline Abi-Saab said she was overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion of the Bangalay Child Care Centre.
"As the months grow colder and the cost of living continues to escalate, many families struggle to put food on the table, pay the rent, pay their electricity bills, and simply make ends meet," she said.
"Donations to our Winter Appeal help the St Vincent de Paul Society continue its crucial work helping people who are experiencing disadvantage in the local Port Macquarie-Hastings community."
A total of 20 boxes filled with clothing, blankets, toys and other items were donated over the course of six weeks.
"We are so grateful to the Bangalay Child Care Centre for all the time and effort they have put into this fundraising drive," Ms Abi-Saab said.
"Thanks to this amazing support, the St Vincent de Paul Society's members and volunteers are able to help families facing desperate situations this winter."
Bangalay Childcare Centre educator Anne Mason said the appeal was important for the younger children to understand what helping other people was about.
"Our four and five-year-olds are at an age where they do understand what it's like and we hear from the parents about them asking if they can donate an old red jumper or something like that," she said.
"Everyone helped out and it was more than we could ever ask for."
