On the eve of the 30th staging of Ironman Australia, there was fun galore in Port Macquarie.
THE weather may have deterred some spectators but it certainly didn’t stop competitors in the 5km fun run and the modified Iron Kids events.

There were a couple of hundred racers in the fun run while the Iron Kids had to cut out the swimming and bike legs due to the crazy rain.
Will Dawes handled conditions best in the 5km sprint as he crossed the line first while Queensland teenager Jayden Crowther won the Iron Kids race.
