One new full-sized court and four hot shots courts will take centre stage at the Woods Street club once completed.
The bright blue synthetic grass courts will be eye-catching and great for the up and coming juniors at the club.
The club’s assistant coach Paul Fox couldn’t wait for the youngsters to take to the completed courts.
Fox said the hot shot courts would put the club in a class of its own in terms of junior facilities.
“Not that many clubs around have specific hot shot courts,” he said. “The enthusiasm this will give the kids. They will power on through that.”
Kids from as young as four take part in the hot shots program.
According to Fox, the courts cost about $50,000.
The wet weather over Christmas hasn’t helped work. The courts were due to be laid by the end of the week, but that has been delayed while the sand dries out.
