Through art, those with mental health issues are able to express themselves creatively and without judgment.
The project was funded for its first two years by the Port Macquarie Hastings Suicide Prevention Network.
A collaboration between the Glasshouse and the Hastings Mental Health Network saw the resulting artwork displayed at the Glasshouse.
Unfortunately this year there was no funding available, but through the assistance of art tutors and the perseverance of the Creatability team, people were mentored in their own homes.
At the opening of this year's exhibit at Port Macquarie Library on Monday, MP Leslie Williams congratulated not only the artists but the team who "with no budget have been able to do something so wonderful".
Mrs Williams said she would talk to the NSW Treasurer because it is "important to continue to raise awareness of mental health issues in the community".
"It is wonderful that people with mental health issues can display to the public not their disability but their ability through these magnificent artworks."
Artist Peter Spark said he creates his dot paintings a "bit at a time".
"It's therapy, Mr Spark said. "I learnt from a friend who told me 'use your imagination', don't be afraid to be who you are'."
Artist and art therapist Kim Staples said the group needs a grant to fund tutors, materials, a venue to teach and to exhibit in.
Creatability chair Nicole de Vulder said 60 per cent of the works on display at the library are from last year and the remainder are from those who painted them at home.
"We want to keep the momentum going. It's an amazing program and we have seen the benefits from it," Ms de Vulder said.
Ten per cent from the sale of the artworks and money raised from the raffle, which has five artworks donated as prizes and valued at a total of $2,450, will help fund Creatability.
The raffle will be drawn at 2pm on Friday and the exhibition is on view until Monday.
