Are you still coming down from the extreme high of the One Day tour? Extreme high is a good way to phrase it. I didn't leave bed for four days after the tour because I was so sick.
What brought you back? Well, I was taking full-on antibiotics and pretty much without any strength. But I turned the reaper away by going to Club Redfern to see the Rabbitohs march to victory on Sunday.
I thought the Australian parliamentary mace might have given you superpowers. I think the mace gave me the power of the people. I felt their hands raise me up from my sick bed and summon me to Sunday's famous victory.
Would you be a cookie-cutter super hero like Superman or someone who walks on the dark side like Moon Knight or Scarlet Witch? I personally don't like responsibility, at all. I wouldn't be the kind of hero who went to the gym. Instead, I maintain a very strict diet where I don't eat anything where their advertising targets children.
Have you got a favourite superhero? I don't really watch movies or cartoons, but maybe Harvey Birdman because he's the only one I've taken any interest in. I don't mind Batman, especially some of the socialist undertones of a rich guy helping out the poor. But I have a real issue with him inheriting and living in such lavish wealth. The whole place seems a bit over the top.
Would you work well with others, like a member of the Justice League, or are you better as a solo operator? Solo has its advantages, but I thrive and love the support of my close friends. We worked very well together on the One Day album, I think it really was some of our finest work. I worked highly collaboratively with Adit (Horrowshow's producer) which was great. Often it's possible to be just doodling along with no direction, so to have someone so talented there was great. You can just trust them to take the reins for a bit and get things back on track. I think the biggest difference with all of us together is that things happen so quickly and the quality is much, much higher.
Any chance of you busting out a colourful costume, complete with cape and mask, for your Port Macquarie debut? I don't know, but if it was anything it would have to be lycra.
