The winner of tomorrow's clash at Dangar Street, Kempsey, will meet Wallis Lake in next weekend's decider at Regional Stadium.
United's reserve graders have already made it through to that weekend.
Rangers and United will meet for the third time in five weeks having played each other in round 17 and then also in week one of the finals. On both those occasions, Rangers have came away with a one goal win (1-0 and 2-1) and they also won 1-0 in round eight.
On each occasion United was guilty of missed opportunities, something it can't afford tomorrow.
Last weekend United claimed a 5-1 win over the Camden Haven Redbacks which obviously pleased coach Chris Walsh.
"It was good to bounce back after the disappointment the week before against Rangers. Scoring a few goals was pleasing as well and we need to ensure we take that finishing into tomorrows match," he said.
The Rangers went down 3-2 to minor premiers Wallis Lake in Tuncurry last weekend.
In junior Grand Final action tonight, Port United will contest the U18 and U12 title deciders. At 6pm at Dixie Park, United will take on Camden Haven White in the U12s. And then at 8.40pm at Wayne Richards Park (field 2), the U18 United side will play Macleay Valley Rangers.
