TRADITIONALLY sprigs of rosemary are worn on Anzac Day and sometimes on Remembrance Day.
The aromatic herb is believed to have properties to improve the memory, and sprigs are usually handed out by members of Legacy and the RSL.
Rosemary has particular significance for Australians as it is found growing wild on the Gallipoli peninsula.
On Friday, April 25, an abundance of rosemary will adorn the lapels of those who march in remembrance of the fallen.
