This week, the Port News is getting on board a global movement to celebrate kindness and goodwill.
Random Acts of Kindness Week is about stepping out of your comfort zone or ordinary daily routine, and attempting a random act of kindness each day for someone else.
Go to our Facebook page and leave a message, just include this: #RAKportmac - and watch our wall of kindness grow!
If you are stuck for ideas, or need a little inspiration, here are a few ideas to get you started:
* say hello to a stranger * bring in your neighbour’s rubbish bin
* volunteer your time to a local cause * shout a workmate lunch
* shout the person next to you in the cafe line a coffee
* write a message of kindness on a piece of paper and slip it into the book you return to the library for the next reader to find
Give it a go - you'll feel better for the experience.
Have you been on the end of a random act of kindness? Let us know. Email tracey.fairhurst@fairfaxmedia.com.au or phone her on 6588 6616.
