The Thunder easily surpassed Macleay's 131 in the decider to take the title in hot conditions.
Things fell Hastings' way early, with captain Brock Larance winning the toss and electing to bowl.
Larance set the tone early, bowling the Macleay opener in his first over. He claimed another wicket in his fourth over, again skittling the stumps.
Macleay was 3-70 when Will Jackson combined with Andrew Stocks to break a promising partnership.
The Macleay middle order struggled to score runs thanks to some fantastic bowling from Jackson, Tom Nunan, Corey Holt and Joe Lewis.
Cameron Fabian also chipped in with a good runout. He'd already taken a screamer of a catch in a strong performance in the field.
The temperature climbed as Thunder began its chase.
Larance and Trai Blair dominated the Macleay attack, scoring at will in a solid first-wicket partnership. The openers were still at the crease at drinks, and the score was 0-73 after 15 overs.
Larance reached his 50 and retired.
Ben Middleton came and went, as did Stocks, who fell while attempting to push the scoring along.
Jess Gardiner and Blair saw the team home with plenty of batting left in the shed.
