A Facebook page in Zac's honour had more than 27,000 "likes" late yesterday.
They honour the 19-year-old who lost his life in a shark attack while bodyboarding north of Coffs Harbour on Saturday, and recognise his courageous mates too.
A three metre tiger shark was responsible for the attack.
The Facebook page was been flooded with heartfelt comments from people who knew Zac and others who didn't.
The tribute page includes a seven-year-old girl's hand drawn picture, photographs, comments from body boarding groups, Christian surfers and friends.
A post from Germany said: "When I read all the lovely comments from his friends and people who know him, take a look to his beautiful pictures and hear about his adorable mind, I am moved to tears!"
"Words simply restrict my heart from saying how beautiful this guy was," another person wrote.
"Praying for every single person who is hurting over this tragic accident."
One post said: "RIP Zac. Very fortunate to have called you my friend and spent the time I did with you. Such a positive happy person who lived life to the fullest."
A paddle out at Town Beach on Sunday honoured Zac, with a large crowd watching from the beach.
The Point Community Church's Sunday service also remembered Zac.
Funeral arrangements had yet to be announced late yesterday.
