A teenager has died after being attacked by a shark at Campbells Beach, near Coffs Harbour.

A man, believed to be aged 18, was bodyboarding with friends around 100 metres offshore when he was bitten on the legs by what is believed to be a shark.
His friends managed to get him to the beach and started CPR until paramedics arrived. Ambulance crews treated him but 18-he died of traumatic cardiac arrest a short time later.
"Attempts were made to resuscitate him when he was brought to the shore, but he died at the scene," an Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are at the scene where local water police and other vessels are conducting patrols.
