Firefighters from a number of agencies are tackling a scrub fire on Maria River Road, Limeburners Creek, which now is more than 1500 hectares.
The 276ha blaze at the on Dulkoonghi Range, north of Crescent Head, is being controlled by Rural Fire Service volunteers and there also is a 100ha scrub fire at Hat Head National Park. It is described as being "under control".
In the same region there is a 261ha fire on Roses Road, Collombatti; a 10ha blaze at Skillion Nature Reserve; and a 157ha fire at Nulla Nulla Creek at Bellbrook.
There also is a 695ha hazard reduction fire on Cedar and Horseshoe roads in the Nambucca.
