Such a success in fact that Robertson, based in Newcastle, will bring another workshop to Port Macquarie in June.
Robertson and his team help people improve both their running style and technique.
The workshop attracted 20 people, which Robertson said was a success.
“We had a big turnout and the feedback that we received was great,” he said.
“The weather was fantastic and it was good to see that we had a mix of both beginners and experienced runners.” One of the participants, Port Macquarie resident Melanie Barnes, was thrilled with the event and can’t wait until they hit town once more.
“I found it really helpful,” she said.
“Dave gave me good tips to improve my running and I’m trying for a half marathon so it helped me quite a lot.
One of the drills held included a barefoot run.
“I ran barefoot for one of the drills and it’s not something I considered ever doing,” she said.
“It showed how your feet impact and land when you run which was able to show us how to improve. “It was a great event and I’m very much looking forward to the next one.”
Runners can show up for a session from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, June 15 and from 8am to 10am on Sunday, June 16.
