A PORT Macquarie man caught with frozen seafood down his pants has been refused bail.

Terrence Rowles, a 36-year-old Port Macquarie man, was stopped by police and found with almost a complete seafood basket hidden in his pants.
Upon inspection the man emptied out a number of kilograms of prawns along with oysters he allegedly stole earlier from a supermarket near William Street.
Police were called to a William Street takeaway after reports of Mr Rowles assaulting staff and refusing to leave the venue.
He was charged with two counts of common assault and shoplifting.
Mr Rowles pleaded guilty in the Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday.
He and was refused bail to reappear on April 15 for sentencing.
Police said at the time of the offence the man was intoxicated.
