Queues southbound on the Pacific Highway approaching the Bulahdelah township of around 7.5km had been experienced for the most part of the day, adding at least 50 minutes additional travel time. Those delays have now eased.
Earlier delays at both Hexham and Kempsey have also eased.
However, heavy holiday traffic is expected to cause lengthy delays again tomorrow for motorists travelling on both the Pacific Highway and F3 Freeway.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow plenty of extra travel time if travelling via some locations on the Pacific Highway such as Hexham, Bulahdelah, Kempsey, Macksville and Coffs Harbour.
The latest information regarding heavy holiday traffic and incidents on the NSW road network is available on-line at www.livetraffic.com or by calling the Traffic Information Line on 132 701.
