In the men’s A-grade final between Mid Coast Telemetry and Poolzone, a tight contest was fought out with both teams struggling to gain control of the match with limited chances at either end.
With the scores locked at 0-0 at full time, the game went into extra time with players being reduced for each side every two minutes. Mid Coast Telemetry found the winning goal in the fourth minute of extra time to take the title.
Much like the men’s game, the ladies A-grade final seen little between the two teams, Watsons Ladies and Priest McCarron.
An even contest also went to extra time after being locked at 1-1. The match ended up down to two on two with the drop off rule in place and it was Watsons Ladies who managed to get the winning goal from the penalty spot after a handball prevented a strike on goal being scored.
